Newbuilds and Installations
ACEL has developed a skilled technical team specializing in electrical installations on ships. This is a cornerstone of ACEL, as we have extensive experience with numerous new builds. Our new build installation assignments are primarily carried out at local shipyards.
Our reference list includes turnkey contracts for over 60 new vessels, including some of the most advanced diesel-electric ships built in Norway.
Today, ACEL is a highly competent player, offering system solutions and deliveries for electrical and automation needs. Quality, expertise, skilled employees, and reliability have made us a preferred supplier.
ACEL is represented in Lithuania through our sister company ACEL BALTIC. This company has established a branch office for electrical installation at the Western Shipyard in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
Maritime Services
ACEL carries out both large and small service assignments locally, nationally and internationally. This includes retrofits, upgrades, repairs of electrical systems and supply of spare parts and electrical materials.
We offer service agreements to shipping companies that include technical support, labor, materials, supervision, commissioning, and equipment supply.
We provide service on operational ships and rigs. Such assignments are increasingly carried out by service personnel with safety training while the ship or rig is in operation, leading to significant cost savings for clients.
ACEL also performs tasks on new builds where shipping companies have “own” deliveries beyond those of the shipyard, such as "Top side" equipment on offshore vessels.
We undertake upgrades, retrofits, and class inspections for vessels worldwide. Our expertise in marine electrical systems makes us sought after for complex assignments, often completed under time constraints.

Engineering and Projects
The Engineering Department’s primary task is to prepare comprehensive documentation for shipyards, shipping companies, classification societies, authorities, and internal use.
We have many years of experience in engineering complete ship installations, focusing primarily on advanced diesel-electric and conventional systems for offshore vessels, fishing vessels, and ferries. Our main tasks include the following:
